Jewelry Show Hosts Coat Drive for Local People In Need
Warming DC…One Coat at a Time
(Free admission for two & one free bracelet provided for each donation.)
Chantilly, VA – February 17-19, 2012 – In its 45th year, The International Gem & Jewelry Show at the Dulles Expo Center provides an exciting opportunity to shop the largest selection of jewelry at the lowest prices available. This February, the show will be hosting a coat drive on-site at their event to help local people in the community stay warm.
COAT DRIVE INFO: The International Gem & Jewelry Show is collecting clean, gently used coats and jackets as part of the One Warm Coat community service project. Coats of all shapes sizes are welcome. One Warm Coat is dedicated to distributing reusable coats, free of charge, directly to local children and adults. As a thank you for on-site donations, the International Gem & Jewelry Show will provide each person who donates a clean, gently worn coat an admission ticket good for two people to enter the February show and one FREE crystal bracelet.
All donated coats will be given to ALIVE! for distribution. ALIVE!, is the largest private safety net for those in need in the City of Alexandria. The organization’s Last Saturday Food Distribution program will provide a week’s worth of food and warm coats to families in need on February 25th. ALIVE! Volunteers will be on location to collect coats during the following times:
Friday 11:30AM – 5:00PM
Saturday 9:45AM – 5:00PM
Sunday 10:45AM – 4:00PM
